Container for ornamental plants, composting, etc. - formed by treads of old tyres, inverted and clipped together

The containers are built up from cylindrical rings comprising the treads of old vehicle tyres from which the sides have been cut away. The rings are turned inside out to give a smooth exterior, and they are held together by clips formed from discs with two slots which connect adjacent rings leaving a space between them which serves for ventilation. The cheeks of the tyres are cut off so that when the rings are turned inside out, their outer edges are higher than those inside, so that rain will tend to run into the container. The material is cheaper and more readily available of natural and other container forming materials.
