<p>Sound vibration-damping device comprises a flexible permanently magnetic film or plate, consisting of a rubber-like binder, e.g. rubber, PVC or polyethylene, opt. with softeners, homogeneously incorporating more than 80, pref. 90 wt. % of a permanently magnetic powder based on Ba-, Sr- or PB ferrite, Al-Mn, or rare earths. The plate has a high density of at least 3, and pref. a thickness of at least 0.5-1 mm, and is applied to the plate in which the vibrations are to be damped by magnetic attraction only. The film or plate pref. also contains embedded materials of high s.g. e.g. Pbn (cpd.) powder and may be provided on its non-magnetised surface with a material of high s.g. e.g. an Fe or Pb plate.</p> |
