The equipment for pushing off boards by their front side at a destacking plant includes a number of side by side and independently suspended pushers. The pushers are mounted on sledges movable in forwards and reverse direction in pushing off direction. During their forwards movement the pushers are lowered and during their reverse movement they are lifted. The pushers consists of horizontal parallel lifting and lowering pushing rods (8) with a rear stop (10). The length (L) of the pushing rods (8) is greater than a maximum projection (X) of boards stored in a stack (1). The pushing rods (8) are suspended on the sledges by means of a downwards and forwards inclined steering parallelogram (7) and have a friction surface (11) which is in contact with top surface of the boards.
