<p>1475140 Fluid regulation TOKICO Ltd 13 Aug 1974 [20 Aug 1973] 35629/74 Heading G3H [Also in Division F2] In a high-pressure-drop valve a valve-member slides within a cage 15 to control the flow from an inlet through a seat 14 and the cage to an outlet. The cage is formed of concentric apertured sleeves 15a-15d each formed with a plurality of apertures 23a-23d communicating with a plurality of orifices 24a-24d, orifices 24a, 24c communicating with the lower part of the apertures 23a, 23c while orifices 24b, 24d, communicate with the upper part of the apertures 23b, 23d. The apertures 23a-23d are arranged in vertical rows alternately staggered. Orifices 24a-24d may be of progressively greater diameter or shorter length from sleeve 15a to sleeve 15d and may progressively increase or decrease in diameter along the length of each sleeve. Alternatively the apertures may be arranged in horizontal rows, the number in each of which progressively increases in a direction away from the slot.</p> |
