<p>The modular combined extraction and rotation mechanism turns through up to 360 deg. in both directions without play. It comprises an extractor column (15) meshing simultaneously with two racks (2,3) moving in opposite directions and forming seals as they work in a block, the column also acting as a pneumatic piston. A cylinder parallel to the racks returns them to their starting position, thus accurately positioning the column when not rotated, or when it moves up and down. The amount for which it can do so is limited by an end stop. The column can be raised by a diaphragm which is not connected to it, so that there is no limit to its rotation.</p> |
