Anionic trisazo dyes of formula (in which R is H, CH, or OCH3, and M is H or one equiv. of a cation) are used for dyeing of natural or synthetic substrates e.g. cellulose, polyamides, polyurethanes, basic-modified polyolefines etc. in blue shades and also for anodised Al, paper, and esp. leather. Leather with an type of tanning may be dyed with very good affinity, which on semi-chrome tanned leather is better than that of dyes claimed in the parent patent. Level shades with good general fastness (e.g. to light, abrasion, solvents and formaldehyde, to migration in PVC) and hard water resistance are obtd. |
