An inner layer comprises a hair-clip shaped loop of tube 15 wound on a guide tube 14. An outer layer comprises two hair-clip shaped loops of tube 16 and 17 wound on the inner tube loop 15, with a different direction therefrom. As shown, tube loop 17 is placed within tube loop 16. The heat exchanging tubes and guide tube are carried by a tube plate 12 which is sealingly connected to a jacket 11. A first fluid passes to and from each of the hair-clip shaped loops of tube via an inlet 21 and outlet 23 of a partitioned dome-shaped cap 18. A second fluid passes to and from the jacket 11 via an inlet 24 and outlet 25. In modified units, the number of hair-clip shaped loops of tube per layer of tubing are altered. |
