<p>A vibrating or shaking device for the electrodes of an electrostatic filter, where the hammers are actuated by a rotating shaft, is constructed with the hammers independent of the shaft itself. The shaft carries pins which actuate the hammers independently causing them to swing freely under gravity. This arrangement ensures that the large hammer forces are not transmitted to the shaft or to the ceramic insulating bearings supporting it.</p> |
