<p>An X-ray generator has a rotating anode tube. It is used with radio-diagnostic telecontrolled tables. Its tube has an unlimited charge capacity. Its use is not limited by any overload. The tube has a tubular glass envelope (1) surrounded by an insulating fluid. It has a window which allows the passage of X-rays. It also has a rotating cathode (2) coupled to a shaft (4) mounted on bearings (5,6). The anode is a convex disc (8) with an annular track (9). The disc (8) is coupled to a shaft (12) in line with the cathode shaft (4). The anode disc (8) is made of copper with a tungsten track (9). The anode (8,9) is rotated by means of paddles (10). These paddles (10) are in the insulating oil and they drive the anode (8,9) by turbine action. The anode (8,9) may also be rotated by means of an electric motor. The cathode (2) has two filaments. Its position on the shaft (4) is set magnetically by two transformers also used as means of supplying current to the filaments.</p> |
