<p>The hollow conductor rail (14) has a slot into which the support rail (17) for the conductor strips (16) is fitted. The pick-up shoe has a main body (1) and an open profile extension (2) which slots into the conductor rail, with the open profile angled so that the insertion is at a slight angle to the rail. On turning the shoe in line with the rail contact is made with the conductor strips. The shoe is locked onto the rail by a tab (20) which grips under the rail profile, and prevents the shoe from dropping out of the rail. The system allows secure contact with a minimum of manipulation, and with a minimum of sprung force.</p> |
