In a multi-ring valve suitable for high speed, high pressure compressors where the valve plate 6 is connected to a guide plate 7 by means of rivets 17 which join flexible arms 15 cut from the valve plate with guide arms 19 cut from the guide plate, the flexible arms cover the innermost port 12 of the valve seat 1, and the spacer 5, between which and the valve guard 2 is located the hub 18 of the guide plate 7, is provided with segment-shaped cut-outs in order to increase the flow area. The rivets 17 may be received in recesses 20 in the valve seat 1, which recesses may be located partly or wholly in the area of the innermost port. The guide arms may be narrower than the flexible arms of the valve plate.</p> |
