<p>The frame is non-circular and has on each side a slide having a number of fingers which can project from the edge of the frame to hold the yarn. The slides are guided by guide blocks on the frame, and each slide has a projection which engages in a cam slot in a rotary control element. As the control element is rotated the slides move so that the fingers project from the edge of the frame or are retracted into the frame. After the crochet work has been finished the fingers can be retracted into the frame so that the work-piece can be easily removed from the frame.</p> |
