<p>Machine comprises a feed hopper supported by a frame which forms a box covering the different units. The cylindrical drum is mounted transversely to the flow of the dough and can oscillate between two positions by the action of a disc; this is connected to a crank rod. The drum has a cavity contg. a piston with its rod which has a pulley at its free end. In one of the positions, the opening of the cavity is opposite the hopper and can be filled with dough in the other position, the same opening is directed to the evacuating conveyor belt which receives the amt. of dough contained in the cavity. The disc mechanism, with its cams, regulates the amt. of dough drawn into the cavity by the piston, through the action of the cranked lever. The path of the piston can be adapted to the wt. of the individual portions to give the wt. of loaf required. It is not necessary to draw more dough into the cavity than is required; no dough is therefore left in the cavity to be mixed by the movements of the piston to the detriment of the bread.</p> |
