A reactor tank for neutralization of waste water has the shape of an inverted cone with an angle of 60-80 degrees and with the influent pipe at its apex. Radial outflow channels on the surface lead to a central discharge pipe. The chemicals are introduced through a pipe just below the fluid level. This saves the risk of clogging of pump and influent pipe if the chemical is added to the incoming water flow. The pump requires less power and the whole design is simple.
