Sugar beet harvesting machine - with roots cut and passed onto rotating screen for discharge onto elevator conveyor and into container

The harvesting machine has blades (5) at the front which uproot and cut off the sugar beet roots. These are passed onto a rotating screen (4) for removal of the earth. The screen has forks (6) which lift the roots to the highest point (9), in combination with centrifugal force. This high point is diametrically opposite the position (10) where the roots feed onto the screen. The roots pass, onto an elevating conveyor (11) for deposition in a container. This conveyor is at an acute angle to the screen radius at the high point. Single or multiple row arrangement are possible.
