High current supply rail - has metal strip with wire wrap terminals of different upper and lower rectangular crosssections

The current rail, for high current supply systems, can accept lines of different cross-sections. It consists of a conducting strip with wire-wrap terminals projecting from it. The terminals have thick lower parts (1') with large rectangular cross-section and thinner upper parts (1") with smaller square cross-sections. The conducting strip and posts are made by punching from a single metal band. The advantage lies in the rail's handling loads of different power consumptions. The metal band (2) may also be shaped by an etching process.
