Edge ledge attachment for stencils - with ledge fitted with groove pressed to stencil and thereby deformed to fill out groove

Attachment method is for edge ledges to test or sign stencils. The edge ledges when viewed in cross-section have a groove open on one side limited by legs. The width of the legs is smaller within the area of the free ends than the width at a point closer to the base of the groove (5). The ledges are pressed on to the stencil sheet vertically to the length edge so that the edges come into contact with the base of the groove. During the pressing-on process the edge area is deformed to at least partially fill out the groove. The stencil sheet used has an edge area with a reduced thickness which has at least one stop ledge in the area where the edge leads to the main part of the stencil sheet.
