<p>The automatic tape transport reversal, system runs the drive in opposite directions when the tape is fully transferred from one reel to the other. This allows a magnetic head for single channel operation to be used for continuous recording and playback of data in multi-channel operation. The tape drive moves the tape alternately in opposite directions. The sensor ascertains when the tape is fully wound up. The reversal device reverses the tape. The magnetic head can be vertically adjusted to alter its working height in conjunction with the sensor.</p> |
