<p>1355204 Herbicide / antidote compositions STAUFFER CHEMICA L CO 3 Aug 1971 [31 Aug 1970 22 Dec 1970] 36491/71 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] Herbicidal compositions comprise a mixture of (a) a thiocarbamate with or without a triazine, and (b) a compound of formula X-(CH 2 ) n -O-SO 2 -R where X is halogen, n is 1-5, and R is alkyl, haloalkyl, halogen, acetoxyalkyl, acetoxyhaloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl, or alkaryl. The thiocarbamate may be S-ethyldipropyl-, 5-propyl-dipropyl-, S-ethylcyclohexylethyl, or S-ethyl diisobutyl-thiocarbamate. The exemplified triazine is 2-chloro-4- ethylamino-6-isopropylamino-s-triazine. Various compounds (b) are listed, in which X is Cl, Br or I, and R is CH 3 , C 2 H 5 , CH 2 CH(CH 3 ) 2 , (CH 2 ) 3 CH 3 , (CH 2 ) 5 CH 3 , CH 2 Cl, (CH 2 ) 2 Cl, (CH 2 ) 3 Cl, Cl, PLCH 2 , PLCH 3 , or CH 2 COO(CH 2 ) 2 Br. The composition may contain @01-15 pts. (b) per pt. (a) by wt., and may also contain 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid. The soil may be treated with (a) + (b) before planting, or corn seed may be treated with (b) and planted in soil treated with (a).</p> |
