<p>1512749 Applying sealing strips to boxes A MARCHETTI 18 Nov 1976 [28 Nov 1975] 48143/76 Heading B8F In a machine for applying sealing strips to the tops of boxes (not shown) on a conveyer 9, the sealing head 14 is movable vertically on columns 2 to allow for variations in height of the boxes. The head 14 is supported by arms 19 each of which is integral with a body 17 slidable within a column 2. A body 18 integral with a block 21 is movable by a screw 20 to adjust the height of the head 14. A compression spring 18 is arranged between the body 17 and block 21 so that when a box having a height slightly greater than the pre-selected value contacts an incline 15 on the head 14, the head is able to ride up over the box.</p> |
