High-temp. dyeing of synthetic fibres. An apparatus comprises a pressure vessel (1) whose open end is fluid-tight and which is heated. A roll stand comprises a loading roller (2) and a take-up roller (3) rotatably fixed to it and is movable in and out of (1). On the outside of (1) is a padder for open-width padding of the material wound on (2) which is then transferred to (3) in (1) at high temps. and pressures to fix the dye.
