<p>The precast linking units can be joined together in any number and placed on river-banks, embankments and similar surfaces to prevent soil erosion. It has a circular centre-piece (I) with alternate (2,3,4) notches and projecting radial spokes (5,6,7) round the outside. On the end of each spoke is a round anchor-head (8,9,10) which locks into the notch of an adjacent link. Once a number of links have been assembled, gaps remain (13,14,15) which allow the natural growth of vegetation, while at the same time the soil is held back by the centre pieces (I) and the spokes. This system also prevents landslides, whatever the gradient of the slope on which the links are placed.</p> |
