<p>On the loading surface is a vertical carrying column around which pivots a horizontal elevating platform. On the column is a hollow cylinder that carries a carrying arm at the end of which is a vertical guide for the elevating platform. For a vehicle with an enclosed body and a loading opening at the rear, the column is at the rear of the loading surface and the elevating platform is shaped to suit the loading opening. The elevating platform is operated by a hydraulic ram which acts vertically. Grooves can be included for the wheels of a handicapped person's wheel chair.</p> |
