<p>The lifting harness comprises an endless strap (2) which encircles the sides of the large capacity plastics container (1). This strap is crossed by another strap (3) passing underneath the bottom (4) of the container and up two opposite sides (5,6). The straps are made from woven synthetic fibres and stitched at the cross-over points (16,18). Each end (7) of the second strap is formed into a loop (12) which is fitted over the hooks of a crane or lifting tackle, for handling. When not in use, these loops are retained against the neck of the plastic container by means of an elastic cord (19) fitted over the top.</p> |
