The valve has three openings with pipe connections and a valve element supported in the housing moving between two valve seats (2). It is for use in pipelines, stop cocks with spherical plugs and in general applications. The valve element (19) has two valve plates (19) connected together with a slight clearance. The valve is operated by an eccentric (5) turned by a control shaft (6) fitted between the valve plates. The housing (1) has guides (3) for the plates (4). The plates are circular and the guides are integral with the valve seat rings (2). The valve plates have cylindrical sections (21) with O ring seals.
