<p>The window or door has panels seated on running rails and sealed relative to these, one at least being movable by sliding they are mitred where they come together. At the centre on the outer panel there is a covering unit, with a downwards open section on its bottom half, shaped to match the rail, and the intervening gap is sealed. There is a projection (5) on the bottom half (4') of the covering unit (4), extending in the outer panel (1) as far as the seals on the rail (2). The seal (6) in the bottom half is a continuation of the rail seal units, with parallel lips, close together, at right angles to the plane of the glass. The upper side of the top half (4") of the covering unit is inclined outwards; it may be fitted with a drainage channel (9). The covering unit may be made of plastic.</p> |
