1492209 Screening machine for paper pulp ESCHER WYSS GmbH 3 Dec 1975 [3 Dec 1974] 49667/75 Heading B1D A paper pulp-screening machine comprises a housing with an inlet 3 and respective outlets 11 and 9 for fractions which respectively pass through and are retained by cylindrical screen 2, rotary screen-cleaning vanes 6 and a system for maintaining an air space 12 above the pulp level E, which damps out pressure fluctuations which might otherwise interfere with a paper-making machine downstream of outlet 11. As shown level E is maintained by air inlet 13 and air outlet valve 15 opened and closed in response to variations in the difference between signals from pressure sensors 17 and 18. Valve 22 controls inflow of pulp in response to pressure fluctuations in outlet 11. In Fig. 2 (not shown) inlet 3 and outlet 11 are coaxially arranged and controls (not shown) are as in Fig. 1. |
