<p>The heating process is for a viscous liquid fuel such as heavy fuel oil or boiler fuel, injecting into it steam which condenses to form an emulsion of water and fuel supplying a burner. In order to keep the composition of the emulsion constant automatically when the load on the burner is fluctuating, its temperature is kept constant. Before injecting steam, its temperature and that of the fuel can be kept constant. The temperature of the emulsion is measured and the rate of steam injection is varied automatically so as to keep emulsion temperature steady.</p> |
