<p>The electrode assembly comprises a vessel contg. electrode(s) having an annular inner surface which is brought into contact with the liq. A scraper and stirrer is mounted in the vessel with its axis coincident with or parallel to that of the annular electrode. Its rotation surface is in close contact with the surface of the electrode. A drive mechanism is provided to rotate the scraper, which simultaneously wipes the electrode surface and stirs the liq. The electrode surface is kept free of deposits or corrosion and polarisation is prevented.</p> |
