The multiple roller machine is for use in rolling lengths of round hollow tube (7) into a prismatic cross-sectional form (SQ). The machine obtains continuous prodn. and may be used to form metal cannisters. Viewing the tube in cross-section the rollers are deployed in sets of four pairs (11,21) with each pair sandwiching the tube wall at 90 deg. intervals on the circumference. The rollers rotate in planes (P) which pass through the longitudinal tube axis (A), and the axies of rotation are perpendicular to tube diameter. The axies of rotation of the rollers in each set also lie in a common plane which is normal to tube length, and sets (A to F) are disposed at longitudinal intervals in the path of the tube.
