Oscillating piston engine has an annular working chamber bounded by a cylindrical outer mantle and a concentric piston with pairs of radial seal stripes, one pair arranged on the piston and one in the mantle. It further contains a concentric ring value with radial seal strips in contact with the inner piston wall defining an annular outer chamber and containing an inner annular chamber around a hollow shaft, the connections between the annular chambers and the working chamber being controlled. - The seal strips extend inwards to form a scavenging and charging pump in the chamber. The strips are rigidly connected with the ring valve. The inner chamber is fed with fuel via orifices in the shaft and reaches the working chamber via radial bores in the strips. Exhaust takes place through bores in the outer mantle strips.
