Arms 9, 10 are pivoted to the sash at 11, 12 Fig. 5 and have rollers 7, 8 running in rails 4. A control member 18 slidable on the sash has pins 19, 20 engaging in slots 13, 14 in the arms with the window initially closed. Turning of handle (24) moves member 18 downwards, the pins moving in the slots to allow tilting of the window (Figs. 2, 6). Further turning of handle 24 moves the sash to a position (Figs. 3, 7) parallel to and offset from its closed position. The sash may then be slid up. Counterweight 5 is a further sash slidable in guide rail 3. Pulley 22 carrying tie 21 is offset outwardly from the sash. For Figures see next column |
