<p>1512065 Power lift mechanism CATERPILLAR TRACTOR CO 23 June 1975 [7 Oct 1974] 26592/75 Heading A1P [Also in Division E1] The mechanism includes a ripper mounting bracket for an earthmoving vehicle which comprises a pair of laterally spaced brackets 34 each connected by a plurality of removable pins 53, 54 directly to the vehicle frame 14, the ripper holder 22 being pivotally connected to the brackets 34, whereby the ripper holder 22 and brackets 34 may be pivoted away from a portion 21 of the vehicle on removal of all but one pair of removable pins 54 to give access to the vehicle portion 21. Each bracket, Fig. 5 comprises a pair of plates 36, 37 spaced by a reinforcing member, the brackets being joined by a tray 46 which may support the control valves 61 of the ripper. To remove the ripper the holder 22 is supported on a block 59, the pins 53 are removed and cylinder 33 is operated to pivot the brackets 34 until the tray 46 touches the ground, the pins 56 may then be removed.</p> |
