<p>The hydrostatic pump is partical an axial piston pump for operations in which there are interruptions in normal operation of considerable duration, particularly for use with hydraulic brakes. One driver component (2, 7) which, in normal operation, is in contact with another component (8, 4) can be lifted out of engagement. The liftable component may be the cylinder drum (2) which is dis-engaged from the port face (4). The cylinder drum (2) may be spring loaded (3) on one side whilst being slidable against the spring force by a pin (28) from the other side. It a swash plate pump, the piston guide components may be liftable off the swash plate, or the swash plate itself may be retractable.</p> |
