<p>The reciprocating engine for vehicle propulsion comprises a cylinder block with sleeve extensions for each con rod embodying inlet and outlet ports, and piston-con rod assemblies. The underside of the piston is concave, and the con rod has evenly spaced transverse holes linked by an axial hole, and sealing rings located one hole pitch apart and with the one nearest the piston in the space between the first and second hole. Compressed air for the engine is produced by battery driven compressor(s). Storage bottles are fitted and a belt-driven generator for charging the batteries. Air supply to the engine is controlled by a pedal, operating a throttle through a linkage.</p> |
