<p>Coloured decorative spectacles comprise plastic eye frames, bridge and earpieces. On the surface of the spectacles is a first thin layer of polyurethane dye, pref. with various colouring or pigments, and over this layer is applied a second thin layer of scratch-resistant, sweat-resistant, tough, transparent material. The first layer may be applied only to the rear surface or only the front surface of the spectacles, which may be transparent or at least translucent, and pref. also to the outer peripheral edges of the spectacles. It may be applied by screen printing, brush painting, or stamp printing. The polyurethane dye bonds extremely well to all conventional high-quality plastics used for spectacles. Different colour patterns provide different aesthetic impressions. The same material can be used or the most varied kinds of spectacles.</p> |
