摘要 <p>is prepd. by liq. phase reaction of C2H4 with technically pure, inert gas-contg. Cl2, in an organic solvent, at 20-60 degrees C, in presence of a chlorination catalyst dissolved in solvent. Reaction takes place in a cylindrical reactor, having height: dia. ratio >3. Rotational speed of circulated reaction mixt. calculated as ratio of repumped reaction mixt. vol./sec. to liquid surface, is 0.06-0.12 m/sec. Use of a high reactor allows a sufficiently long dwelling time and an even distribution of C2H4 gas in reactor. Inert gases are not entrained by liq. steam.</p>
