Component failure detector in transmission system - has shift register transmitter and receiver relay state bit sequence generating relay state change

A digital processing circuit is used to detect any errors in a RF transmission system due to component failure. The system is particularly appropriate for use with remote control systems for locomotives. A shift register with EXCLUSIVE-OR gate inputs is used to transmit a pulse sequence e.g. 000,111,000 etc. to a frequency generator stage coupled to a high frequency modulator. The radio transmission is received by a demodulator and converted to a pulse sequence. A shift register provides a parallel output. Two amplifiers are coupled to the primary of a transformer.
