The novel title compound of the Formula I in which #x y is -CH 2 -CH, R 1 is H and R 2 is isopropyl and acid addition salts -thereof is prepared by reacting an acid addition salt of (2R, 5S, 10aS, 10bS) -2 - amino - 2 - ethyl - 5- isopropyl - 3,6 - dioxo - 10b - hydroxy - octahydro - 8H - oxazolo[3, 2-α]pyrrolo[2,1.-c-]- pyrazine -with a reactive functional derivative of 9,10 - dihydrolysergic acid in an inert solvent and in the presence of a basic condensation agent, or by hydrogenating a compound of the above Formula I in which #x y is -CH=C<, and if desired, reacting the resulting free base with organic or inorganic acids. Pharmaceutical compositions, suitable for oral, enteral or parenteral administration and having an antiserotonin effect, contain the above novel compound or pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof in association with acceptable carriers or diluents.
