The transport truck comprises a chassis on which two racks are mounted. The chassis is H-shaped in plan view, having two lengthwise members joined by a cross-member at a higher level than them. Fixed to the lengthwise members are two rails in which the racks fit. The racks are at a higher level than the cross-member and well clear of the lengthwise ones. Each rail can be fixed at the centre to the cross-member and the lengthwise member, and the truck can also have a retractable floor pivoting on one of the rails. Hooks are provided for holding the floor in the retracted position.
