The slidable switching insert (5) is latched by a lug (h), mounted on a rotary lock insert (7). The lock chamber in the switch housing (1) is formed by two parts (2, 3), whose separating plane coincides with the vertical longitudinal middle plane of the slidable switching insert and the lock (6). Preferably the switching insert is provided with a double roller latch. The lug of the lock insert serves also to limit the rotation of the key bush. The switch housing may have a rib to support the locking element when laterally stressed.
