<p>The shock absorber comprises a narrow tubular or other annualr element (1) of selected axial length. The element is connected between the baseplate (3) and a load (4) to be supported. The lead and the base engage the element at diametrally opposite points of the tube. The mechanical strength of the tube is designed so that in the event of a sudden shock, the tube becomes plastically deformed. The limiting condition is when the apex touches the bottom of the tube. Several tubes may be arranged in series, in parallel, or inside each other.</p> |
