Flat metal soldering tag - which has stamped ring boss on the surface which is to be soldered

Flat metal tongue or tag, which is to be soldered onto a resistor rod or arm on a glass traverse, where the flat contact zone of the tag which is to be soldered is provided with >=1 ring boss. Conventional tags of this general type are made in nickel coated steel, and are provided with elongated bosses so the resistor rods must be aligned axially or transversely w.r.t. the tag. The invention uses a ring boss so the rod can be located at any desired angle, and only one type of tag is required, in which the ring boss is made by stamping. This means that only one stamping tool is required, thus saving tool costs and also reducing the number of different tags which must be held in stock.
