The brace for protruding upper incisors comprises a U-shaped outer wire frame (1) ending in hooks, and a U-shaped inner wire frame (3) connected to it in the central region. The connection between the two frames is formed by a tube (6) which surrounds their central regions between two bends (10) adjoining the inside of a loop (5) in the outer wire frame. In the centre of the connection is an outwardly directed kink (7) which prevents displacement of the components. On the inner and outer surfaces of the tube are grooves which extend between the frames to prevent relative rotation of the frames. Pref. the inner frame is thinner than the outer frame, and is surrounded in its central region by a metal sleeve (4) so as to provide it with the same dia. as the outer frame and facilitate connection by means of the tube.
|
