<p>The electrical connector is of the type that has a sprung leaf which clamps the wire to be connected. Particularly suitable for use with contact breakers and associated equipment. The connector is capable of handling high level currents (in the order of 16 amps) without sparking and burning out. The connector is in the form of a small rectangular metal box having a window into which the bared wire is pushed. The box has an inclined wall making an angle with the adjacent end wall of up to 45 deg. and a base trough in which the wire sits, providing a large surface area for contact. The wire is pressed into the trough by a sprung strip providing further contact area.</p> |
