<p>The head involves a housing, a feed channel and a mandrel, against which flow takes place, maintained centrally in this by holding elements so as to form a axial flow-traversable annular channel between it and the housing. The mandrel-holding elements extend axially, being located in the axial projection between the central feed channel and the annular channel and passsing through at least one annular space traversed by a radial flow, generally as disclosed in the parent Application. The design is improved by the use of an adjusting element which is axially adjustable in the mandrel and projects into the central feed channel in order to vary the cross section of the feed channel to one of the annular spaces. Advantageously, the adjusting element is screwed into the mandrel and can be regulated from the exit end of the tubular head. Design improves the flow conditions in the tube extruder head and gives better correspondence between the part streams traversing annular space through which the mandrel holding elements pass.</p> |
