A compressed air storage tank (11) is connected via a discharge pipe (12) and a restrictor (13) to the compressor output stage (5) to the gas feed of a turbine (8). The air storage tank is charged by the auxiliary compressor via a non-return valve (4). The air storage tank pressure is at least twice the highest pressure of the feed to the turbine. The reduction valve (13) is formed as an ejector. The storage tank is of prestressed cast iron with reinforcement rings.
