<p>A sheath-type component is used to encase concrete, steel or wooden columns as used in piers etc. in sleeves of synthetic resing and protect them against corrosion etc. by water, effluent etc. It is provided with internal centring protrusions (3) and split along a line, being equipped with seals at one end and also along the split, together with a pouring gate for the resin. It can be in two halves, joined by a hinged covered by the resin or a plastic plate, their edges being bent to form ribs. The edges of the split can be bent outwards to form flanges or the walls of the pouring gate. The seals can be of foam rubber, and the internal protrusions can be integral with the sheath and bowl-shaped.</p> |
