In a process for the prodn. of bodies or agglomerates suitable for shipment starting from powders, the powder, possibly after raising its bulk density, is compacted using relatively low press. to form bodies or agglomerates which can be manipulated. The bodies may be coated if required; and they may be easily broken down to their original finely-divided or powdery state without any special force being a applied. The initial powder pref. has a surface area above 1000 cm2/g by the Blaine test, esp. 1500-7000 cm2/g Blaine, and the bulk density is pref. increased by vibration, ultrasonics, centrifuging and/or applying a vacuum. Used e.g. for simplifying the shipment of cement.
