<p>A plate for moulding flasks, which is tapered in thickness from bottom to top, has a recess made in it, the bottom of which is a flat ridge on which the flask sits. This recess is cylindrical in section and gets narrower towards the top, the ridge forming the bottom of this recess has a thickness not greater than the radius of the flask. A further recess goes towards the bottom of the plate from the support ridge to aid the sliding of flasks into the mounting recess. The holding plate is attached to the apparatus by a peg entering a hole recessed in the rear of the platE. For mounting sample flasks on analysing apparatus esp. apparatus for counting blood samples. Sample flask can be inserted into holding device under an aspirating tube with 1 hand without loss of liq.</p> |
